LEITAT is a Technological Centre specialized in materials and production technologies. LEITAT develops R&D activities in the areas of materials sciences, surface treatments, engineering and industrial design, renewable energies, environment, and biotechnology with deep knowledge and experience in technological transfers to several industrial sectors. LEITAT takes part each year in many projects financed by the regional and national governments, participates in projects co-funded by the European Commission, and develops private R&D projects funded by industrial partners. LEITAT is recognized by the Spanish Government as a CIT (Centre of Technological Innovation).

                Advanced Materials Division - LEITAT

                We can help you develop new materials and / or modified your existing products in order to make your product stand out in the market.

                Materials can be modified by the addition of nanomaterials, microencapsules, fibres, etc or thanks to superficial treatments in order to achieve special properties such as IR reflection, UV protection, anticorrosion, antifouling, etc.
                We also offer studies of valorisation of residues for all kind of industries (within the same industry or for other industries).A laboratory for characterization of residues and biomasa is available to support these activities. Also, standard tests and specialty tests can be performed upon request including fire, corrosion, aging, etc. Life Cycle Analysis & Life Cycle Cost can be done to ensure that your products are more sustainable.

                LEITAT is interested in collaboration in European and national R&D projects.
                LEITAT has wide experience in participation in research projects by its consistent participation in various EU schemes: FP7, Eco-innovation, SME instrument, LIFE, H2020, etc. LEITAT has taken part in more than 100 European R&D projects with more than 20 M€ of funding received from the European Commission.
